This 1957 22' Hutchinson is a great cruising boat the whole family will enjoy! All original and one of the last few boats they made. Only 3 owners, the first being the president of the Hutchinson boat works in Alexandria Bay, NY. The boat was named for the "Ojibway" Indian tribe in Ontario where the boat was used. Bottom and transom redone in 2008 with re-varnishing done in Alexandria Bay. Chrysler 175 Horse engine runs smoothly and is believed to be original. Craft engine- 128 HP with triple carburetor set up. This beauty is the first boat we've seen that still had it's original finish from the factory on it when it came in for restoration. It is an amazing example of an untouched hull that has no dings or discoloration from over sanding. The hull is at full thickness and all plugs and fastenings are as tight as the day it came out of the Chris Craft plant. This 1964 22' Gage Hacker is in excellent condition. It boasts a V-8, 283 Corvette engine, newer teak Nautalex decking, beautifully upholstered interior and original hardware. Gage Hackers are noted as being well performing, high quality boats which were built in the 1960's at a boatyard right here in Williams Bay, WI using traditional plank on frame construction. They were designed by naval architect John Hacker, famous for the slightly convex bottom sections of his smooth riding boats-designed to handle well in the chop of Lake Geneva. The distinctive white highlight on the sides of the Gage Hackers came from industrial designer Brooks Stevens who developed the look of the boat above the water line.
