The Switzer Craft boat manufacturer is one of the most amazing and respected manufacturers of boats of its time. Handcrafted with pride in McHenry, IL. They were championship boats setting world speed records. The Shooting Star was named one of the Top 10 wood boat designs and was a World Record Breaker at 104MPH.  This famous sport craft is widely acclaimed for its winning characteristics and advanced styling. The improved configuration of the Shooting Star includes the 3 point suspension hull for greater stability and level ride at all speeds. Engineered to accommodate a larger motor it is quite capable of speeds in the 60’s & 70’s. The Shooting Star was touted as an outstanding ski boat. The low freeboard makes boarding the boat from the water easy. This boat has won gold metals in antique boat shows in the past.  Bob Switzer personally signed the bow just before he died.  We're not sure how many, if any, other Shooting Stars are in existence.  The current owner has had the boat up to 55 mph at one point, and the throttle was only 1/2 way down- it had a ton left.  He said the experience was awesome! Of all the boat rides he's ever been on in his life this was the most fun ride.  Owner has much of the restoration work documented on both the boat and the motor, well over 20k was spent on restorations.  $25,000
