Ditchburn Commodore Launch
The ultimate wood boat for the discriminating collector! Spectacular in every detail. Originally built for use on Urania Island on Lake Muskoka, Ontario. She is based on the iconic Ditchburn 31' launch design that became the staple of the Muskoka region. Aptly named, 'Flyer' features all the modern building methods including a no soak bottom. Mahogany plank on white oak rib modern construction provides the benefit of having a boat constructed in the traditional Ditchburn fashion of the late 20's and 30's, while eliminating the traditional hardship of keeping the original Ditchburn boats afloat. Flyer is powered by a straight 8 Chrysler Marine engine which provides both reliability & the look/sound of a period engine. Engine has less than 100 hours. Not short on details including combing boards, Breen Indian bow ornament, period correct cloth wiring installation, curved profile on the engine hatches and covered "mother-in-law” cockpit. New custom-built trailer included! $299,000
