1953 18' Chris Craft Riviera
This beautifully restored 1953 18’ Chris-Craft Riviera represents classic mahogany craftsmanship combined with substantial recent mechanical investment. The Riviera is one of Chris-Craft’s most recognizable and sought-after runabouts, known for its elegant profile and dependable performance.
In 2023, the boat underwent a comprehensive restoration highlighted by a $12,000 professional rebuild of the original Hercules KLC engine, producing approximately 130 horsepower. Since the rebuild, the engine has logged only 25 hours, offering strong, reliable performance while maintaining originality. Additional mechanical updates include two new batteries, full electrical rewiring throughout the boat, and engine refinishing.
Cosmetically, the boat presents beautifully. The brightwork was freshly varnished, and new upholstery was completed in 2021, preserving the boat’s classic look with a clean, updated finish. A custom full-length cover, extending below the waterline, was also made during the restoration to provide superior protection when stored.
Additional features include step pads, spray rail, and other period-correct details that enhance both usability and authenticity. A trailer is included, making transport and storage simple.
